Gynaecology

As part of the Certified Breast Centre Herzogtum Lauenburg, the Ward of Gynaecology offers treatment for breast carcinoma according to the current recommendations of the expert association. It is part of the established Geesthacht Women's Hospital, which also includes obstetrics.

In addition to inpatient surgeries, our surgical gynaecology also offers a wide range of outpatient surgeries. These include minor breast surgery, diagnostic and therapeutic curettage, hysteroscopy of the uterus, conisation for the treatment of cervical dysplasia, as well as laparoscopy for sterilisation or the diagnosis of infertility. Furthermore, we offer a comprehensive range of surgical therapies for the treatment of benign and malignant gynaecological diseases.

Since 2016, the Women's Hospital has been a cooperative partner of the University Cancer Centre Lübeck / Oncology Centre Campus Lübeck.
