Parking

The Johanniter-Krankenhaus Stendal has a car park (access via "Straße der Demokratie"). However, the number of spaces is limited.

Public parking spaces are available at "Am Nordwall".

Monday to Friday:

7.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
and 2.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

9.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m.
and 2.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Trained hospital pastors are available to patients at all locations during their time in the hospital.

• They take their time.
• They are ready for confidential individual discussions and look for solutions in the sometimes harrowing ups and downs of an illness.
• The basis of this care is the Christian faith and the tradition of the Order of St John to see the whole personality in the weakened person

Sometimes a person from the outside can listen, look and assess in a completely different way. Sometimes this person can also speak a word of solution to you.

That is why pastoral care offers the opportunity to find new ways of helping beyond a period of hospitalisation. We hope for God's blessing in this work.

Pastoral care offered at Johanniter-Krankenhaus Stendal

• In the hospital area of Stendal, Wendstraße, the room of silence on the ground floor near the reception is open to you at any time for personal contemplation.
• In addition, church services are held on the wards every second Sunday (see notice board).
• Strengthening and help can be experienced in prayer and joint celebration, and we cordially invite you to attend.

In our Johanniter-Krankenhaus, not only do doctors, nursing staff, and therapists care for patients but so do the Green Ladies and Gentlemen from the Evangelical Hospital Aid. Out of human caring, they contribute to bringing some variety into the highly technical everyday life of a modern hospital. They give time and attention - on a voluntary basis.

Offer of the Green Ladies and Gentlemen

The Green Ladies and Gentlemen are happy to do something for you, for example:

• visit our beautiful park together
• run small errands
• read something aloud if you wish
• talk to each other about what moves your heart
• simply sit with you and be there
• and much more

Please contact the ladies and gentlemen in green coats or ask nurses or carers to notify us.

In the clinic café just to the left of the foyer, you can enjoy a selection of cakes, coffee specialities, ice cream, and snacks in a pleasant atmosphere. The cafeteria also has outdoor seating in spring and summer.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday: 6.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Sundays and public holidays: 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. 

A snack vending machine is available throughout the day.

The discharge of patients from the hospital should be planned in good time - especially if follow-up care of the patients is necessary: staff of the discharge management team of our clinic will assist you.

Important

• Your attending doctor will determine the correct time of discharge. He or she will inform you during the discharge consultation about questions of further treatment and about any medication to be taken.
• Leaving our hospital prematurely is done so at your own risk and only after submitting a written declaration.
• We ask you to leave your room by 10 a.m. so that we can prepare the bed for the next patient. Please note that lunch cannot be served on the day of discharge.
• Please organise your journey home in good time - you are responsible for this yourself. In medically justified individual cases, a transport voucher will be issued.
