Diabetology

The diabetology-focused treatment supervised by private lecturer Dr. med. Udo Schmitz involves the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus. For this purpose, every opportunity is taken to provide patient education or counselling on individual life circumstances.

The main focus is on the treatment of any secondary diseases, especially diabetic foot syndrome. A broad spectrum of modern examination and treatment methods are provided. For outpatients, care is provided by the diabetology practice at the Waldkrankenhaus and the foot clinic at the Waldkrankenhaus.
