Training Centre for Applied Emergency Medicine and Medical Simulation
The Training Centre for Applied Emergency Medicine and Medical Simulation at Johanniter Waldkrankenhaus is an official training centre of the American Heart Association (AHA). With over 250,000 instructors, the AHA conducts interactive emergency seminars in more than 80 countries worldwide with the goal of reducing impairment, disability, and death resulting from cardiovascular and neurological emergencies by optimising the rescue chain. The AHA's course programmes are established worldwide and are a prerequisite for the clinical practice of healthcare professionals in many countries.
The instructors of our training centre are responsible for the conception and implementation of emergency management within the operating facilities of Johanniter clinics Bonn and conduct the interactive and simulation-based emergency training of the medical emergency teams, as well as all the medical and non-medical staff of the clinics. In addition, they offer a wide range of emergency courses for medical professionals and emergency medical response teams, but also for medical laymen outside the clinic. We optimise quality management in this area and thus contribute efficiently to the safety of all patients.
