Oesophagus Centre Bonn/ Rhein-Sieg
Oesophagus Centre Bonn/ Rhein-Sieg
The Oesophagus Centre Bonn/Rhein-Sieg is an initiative of Johanniter Clinics Bonn and Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus Bonn for the treatment of people with cancer of the oesophagus. Oesophageal cancer is a rare form of cancer; in the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg region, around 100 people are diagnosed with oesophageal cancer every year. At the same time, the treatment requires extremely complex therapy strategies that need a high level of experience, expert knowledge, and the latest medical technology.
Diagnostics and therapy of oesophageal cancer combined
The aim of the inter-site cooperation is to optimise care and treatment quality for our patients. Within the Oesophagus Centre, Johanniter-Krankenhaus and Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus Bonn combine their many years of expertise, and the range therapeutic focuses within both hospitals, for the treatment of oesophageal carcinoma - starting with endoscopic diagnosis and therapy, tumour spread diagnosis, curative surgery, and (radio-) oncological therapy.
