The central unit for inpatient care at the Oncology Centre is the Department of Haematology and Internal Oncology at Johanniter-Krankenhaus. The inpatient treatment of oncological and palliative medical patients takes place here. This includes chemotherapies, radiation therapies required as inpatient treatments, and radiological-nuclear medical interventions, as well as supportive therapy procedures.
Interdisciplinary cooperation
For the highly specialised treatment of certain malignant diseases, organ centres (lung, intestine, breast, prostate, pancreas) have been formed. Here, doctors from different disciplines work closely together to develop optimal treatment strategies for oncological patients.
