Strengthening the resilience of refugees from South Sudan in Uganda and IDPs in South Sudan

What it is about:
This project is intended to support vulnerable population groups and internally displaced persons in their host communities in the various districts of South Sudan and in Uganda. The project aims to strengthen the resilience of refugees and internally displaced persons by improving food security, promoting education and training for a secure future, improving access to clean drinking water and securing peace on the ground.

Examples of activities:
Training in agriculture and livestock for 250 farming groups.
Distribution of agricultural starter kits to 1,000 farmers in South Sudan and 60 farming groups in Uganda, and distribution of livestock and accessories to 20 farming groups in Uganda.
Carrying out nutrition training
Construction of new wells and rehabilitation of water points with solar systems
Construction of public latrines and installation of hand washing facilities
Education campaigns on hygiene and sanitation
Psychosocial support and counselling
